Manchester United player,Antony, has spoken out over allegations of domestic abuse by Gabriela Cavallin, his ex-partner.
The 22-year-old Cavallin had reported Antony to the police in Sao Paulo earlier this month, alleging assault, bodily harm, and threatening behavior.
In a subsequent interview, Cavallin discussed some of the accusations leveled at the Brazilian international.
However, Antony argued that he was wrongly accused and that justice would be served in a lengthy post on his Instagram account on Wednesday.
“I stayed silent until the moment so that nothing could interfere with the investigation process, but during all those days, my family and I suffered in silence.
“I had never been through a situation similar to this, in which a false assault charge resulted in a preliminary and unfair public judgement on the part of some,” the 23-year-old wrote.
