Mercy Aigbe, a Nollywood actress, has declared Yoruba parties to be the greatest.
The actress has spoken out about her experience at a colleague’s birthday celebration last weekend.
Mercy Aigbe was ecstatic to be offered Hot Amala within a ‘Ikoko Irin’ (little pot) with varied meats.
The mother of two remarked on how excellent the souvenirs were, recalling how she was offered bread as a souvenir at another celebration.
She describes their events as the best and says there is nothing they can’t serve as keepsakes.
“Yorubas throw the best parties! No cap. What! Hot Amala, inside Ikoko Irin… With fresh fish and ‘inside meat’, ‘orisirisi’ with ‘Ogufe’ (goat meat). The souvenirs nko? The other day fresh hit sweet bred was shared as souvenir at a party! Nothing they cannot share as souvenirs”.
