Premier League demands Chelsea to proof they are not owned by Saudi Arabia

Chelsea owners agree deal to buy majority stake in Strasbourg

Chelsea has been requested by Premier League officials to show documentation proving they are not Saudi Arabian-owned.

Three Blues talents are “on the verge” of joining the Saudi Pro League as of this moment.

After his contract with Chelsea expired, N’Golo Kante joined Al-Ittihad on a free transfer, and Kalidou Koulibaly, Hakim Ziyech, and Edouard Mendy are all expected to follow him to the Middle East.

Ziyech is going to Al-Nassr, Koulibaly is going to Al-Hilal, and Mendy is going to Al-Ahli.

Concern has been raised by the player exodus from Chelsea to the Middle East.

According to The Telegraph, Premier League chiefs have demanded that Chelsea provide them with proof that the Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund (PIF) was not part of Todd Boehly and Clearlake Capital’s takeover last summer.

Chelsea have since provided Premier League chiefs with the necessary proof – and they are believed to be satisfied that there are no conflict of interests.
