Award winning Nigerian singer, Adeleke Davido popularly known as Davido has claimed Portuguese striker, Cristiano Ronaldo is a very good friend of his.
He revealed this while being a guest on the most recent episode of Anas Bukhash’s podcast ABTalks.
After Portugal was eliminated from the tournament, Davido, who made history by being the first Nigerian musician to sing at the FIFA World Cup final in Qatar, chastised those who had made fun of Ronaldo.
He said: “Look at [Cristiano] Ronaldo when he left the World Cup. He is my friend, by the way. He is my very good friend.
“When he [Ronaldo] left the World Cup, I remember being on the internet, and they [trolls] were abusing him so much, even after everything that he has done.”
In 2017, Davido paid tribute to Cristiano Ronaldo in his hit song ‘Fall.’
