Mr. Festus Keyamo, former minister of state for labor and productivity, has attacked supporters of the Labour Party’s presidential candidate in the last election, Peter Obi, over social media trolls targeting President Bola Tinubu.
According to reports, a group of Nigerians who oppose Tinubu’s victory have resorted to social media to criticize the president for his decision to give N8,000 to 12 million households in order to alleviate the impact of the elimination of gasoline subsidies.
In response to some of the social media insults, Keyamo complained in a tweet on Saturday that anti-Tinubu elements “are still lurking online with all kinds of negative expectations.”
According to the former minister, there is no point picking offence from the trolling, saying “they will eventually get sense by force”.
“They have virtually created an alternate world for themselves, far removed from reality, locked themselves in their own bubble and just bandy all kinds of inanities around and amongst themselves to make themselves happy. Please, mark some of them with their comments below.
“Rather than get angry, we should feel deep pity for them. They will eventually get sense by force”.
