Nigerian governor dismisses aide for posting pornography on WhatsApp status

The Kebbi State Governor, Dr Nasiru Idris, has relieved his Special Adviser(SA) on Youths, Mr Babangida Sarki, of his appointment over the immoral message he posted on his Whatsapp status.

The governor’s chief press secretary, Ahmed Idris, verified this in a statement given to reporters in Birnin Kebbi.

According to him, the SA was fired “following an inappropriate posting he made on his WhatsApp status.”

The Governor, who was furious by the outrageous occurrence, claimed that the Aide had violated the moral and social values of Kebbi community, which is predominately Islamic.

“The Kauran Gwandu vowed that his administration would not condone any of such acts that denigrate the morality and integrity of the people of the state.

“The Governor also cautioned other public officers against making such heinous postings in their social media handles and other public fora,” he said.

Recall that the sacked aide, Babangida Sarki allegedly posted an indecent sodomy video on his WhatsApp status generating widespread condemnation from social media space which caught the attention of the government leading to his subsequent sack to serve as a deterrent to others.
