According to Nigerian singer, Skiibii, he originally owned the song “Abracadabra,” but he gave it to Rexxie.
Skiibii made this initial disclosure while discussing other topics, including as how he handles his finances on Adesope’s The Afrobeat Podcast.
Abracadabra, a song with Skiibii and Naira Marley that became viral in late 2022, was published by well-known Nigerian producer Rexxie. Eventually, the remix included Wizkid.
Rexxie did not, however, come up with “Abracadabra,” despite what many people believed. Rexxie only received the song after pleading with Skiibii, who composed and wrote it.
Skiibii asserted that he had finished recording the song when he sent it to Rexxie for listening, but Naira Marley later heard and jumped on it. Rexxie asked him to leave it for him after that, and he was about to release it.
Furthermore, he noted that Rexxie was a close buddy to him and that’s why he didn’t charge him for the song.
