Following his most recent achievement as an Afrobeats musician, superstar Afrobeats singer David Adeleke, better known by his stage name Davido, has once again won the focus of many.
In a recently released official declaration, the mayor of Houston, Texas, declared that annually July 7th is designated as “World Davido Day in the City.”
Davido, who is currently on his Timeless tour in the US, gave a fantastic performance at the Toyota Centre in Houston yesterday, June 7th 2023.
This follows the declaration of World Wizkid Day in the city in 2018 by Minnesota Governor Mark Dayton of the United States of America.
Davido is given this newest distinction by Sylvester Turner, the 62nd mayor of Houston, Texas, for his contribution to music.
