Kanu Nwankwo to become new chairman of Enyimba FC

Nwankwo Kanu, a former captain of the Super Eagles, is reportedly in place to become the new chairman of Enyimba, the league champions of the Nigerian Premier League.

On Monday, the Abia State Government dissolved the Peoples’ Elephant’s prior board.

Felix Anyansi-Agwu, the team’s former chairman, led the organization 23 years ago.

During his leadership, the Aba giants won two CAF Champions Leagues and nine NPL championships.

Kanu, a former Premier League champion, has reportedly been chosen for the role, according to rumors coming out of Umuahia.

Next season, Enyimba will play in the CAF Champions League.
