The Glazers, the owners of Manchester United, are “split” about the offer made by Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad Al Thani, the Emir of Qatar.
The Glazer family is reportedly unsure about Sheikh Al Thani’s offer at this time, according to The Mirror.
The bid from Hamad Al Thani is around £6 billion, so it falls just shy of the £7 billion valuation that the Glazer family has set.
This suggests that the Man United takeover story may continue for a while longer.
The two leading candidates to acquire Man United are Hamad Al Thani and British businessman Sir Jim Ratcliffe.
Hamad Al Thani had tabled a fifth offer of around £6billion and purportedly final bid on June 7, whereas the Ineos bid would see Ratcliffe buy a majority stake of the Red Devils.
