Mason Mount, a new midfielder for Manchester United, has explained why he left Chelsea for Old Trafford.
Following a £60 million agreement between the two Premier League teams, Mount was formally introduced as a United player on Wednesday.
The international from England is Erik ten Hag’s first significant signing of the summer.
Mount discussed leaving his childhood team to join their rivals in an interview with United’s official website.
“I’m very excited to work under Erik ten Hag.
“It’s never easy leaving the club where you grew up, but Man Utd will provide an exciting new challenge for the next phase of my career.
“I can’t wait to be part of this group’s drive to win major trophies,” Mount said.
