Tokunbor Idowu, also known as Tboss, a former BBN star, resorted to social media to address the issue of ageism. In a recent post, she vehemently defended the natural process of ageing, expressing her perplexity as to why some people regard ageing negatively.
Tboss, in an honest and aggressive tone, questioned individuals who condemn others for “getting older.”
She emphasised the ridiculousness of criticising someone for something that is a normal and unavoidable aspect of life, emphasising that ageing should be welcomed rather than stigmatised.
Tboss asked individuals to seal their mouths and “hold their silly fingers” if they were tempted to indulge in age-shaming.
She reminded her audience that growing older is a privilege denied to many and that the passage of time should be embraced with gratitude and dignity.
In a society that often glorifies youth and places undue pressure on individuals to maintain a certain appearance, Tboss’s message serves as a powerful reminder to embrace the beauty of aging. Age should never be a cause for shame, as every passing year signifies a wealth of experiences, wisdom, and personal growth.
