President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has joined Threads, a popular social media platform that competes with Twitter.
According to Vanguard, President Tinubu stated in his first Threads post, “My fellow Tailors, Idan has landed.”
Threads has received over 10 million sign-ups since its launch.
Thread, owned by Meta and founded by Mark Zuckerber, launched after new strict measures were introduced by Elon Musk on Twitter.
Hugh Jackman, Jennifer Lopez, Shakira, and other well-known figures had accounts already set up, as did The Washington Post and The Economist.
Musk and Zuckerberg are well-known adversaries who have proposed a cage battle. Zuckerberg also fired a shot in Musk’s direction.
Zuckerberg shared a caricature of Spiderman pointing at Spiderman in his first tweet in more than ten years, seemingly alluding to the similarities between Threads and Spiderman.
He stated on Threads: “I believe there should be a public chats app with more than 1 billion users. It’ll take some time. Twitter has had the chance to do this, but hasn’t quite succeeded. I believe we will.
