UTME top candidate receives N2.5m cash from Erico Foods

The highest student in the just-concluded Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examinations, Kamsiyochukwu Umeh, will get a cash prize of N2.5 million, according to Dr. Eric Umeofia, Chief Executive Officer and President of Erisco Foods Limited.

Umeh, a student from Deeper Life High School in Mowe, earned the top candidate ranking with a UTME score of 360.

She received 66 points for English, 98 for maths, 97 for physics, and 99 for chemistry.



Umeofia expressed his admiration for the student’s interview with Saturday PUNCH to reporters on Friday.


The billionaire also stated that the school’s principal, four subject teachers, and two other top students would also get financial awards.
