“Grammy created ‘Best African Music Performance’ category because of me” – Burna Boy brags once again

Burna Boy, a prominent Afrobeats musician, suggests that the Recording Academy created the new Grammy category “Best African Music Performance” in his honor.

The amazing African music artist expressed his gratitude for the creation of the new African Music category.

He stated this in a recent interview with the Los Angeles Times.

However, Burna Boy questioned if the Recording Academy’s new category would be as prestigious as the others.

Burna said:

“I do feel somewhat responsible for the new ‘Best African Music Performance’ category, which is nice. At the same time, what is it really? Is it a consolation category? Will it hold as much prestige? I’m waiting to see.”
