I Burna Boy’s Last Last Surpasses 100 Million Views On YouTube

Afrobeat musician Burna Boy recently spoke out about his alleged involvement in the Cubana Club shooting from a year ago through his latest music album, titled “I Told Them.”

While the album is already gaining attention, one particular song named “Thanks,” featuring American rapper J. Cole, directly addresses the suspicions surrounding Burna Boy’s role in the shooting.

In 2022, Burna Boy made headlines when he was accused of shooting a man in an attempt to talk to the man’s wife, but he chose to stay silent, allowing rumors to circulate freely.

However, in January 2023, during a concert, Burna Boy finally addressed the rumors and passionately cursed those who doubted his success.

In the powerful duet with J. Cole titled “Thanks,” Burna Boy lays it all on the line, demanding recognition for his achievements in bringing pride to his country and elevating Nigerian music on the global stage.

Part of the song said;

“Is this the motherfucking thanks I get?
Say my mama dance for fella
Say I not get baby mama
Say I shoot person for Cubana
Because I wan collect person woman
Is this the motherfucking thanks I get?
For making my people proud
Every chance I geeeeet”
