Femi Fani-Kayode, a prominent member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has finally responded to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s list of ministerial nominations handed to the Senate. He had been conspicuously absent from the list, prompting some criticism and conjecture.
In his response, Fani-Kayode thanked the nominees and wished them well in their service to the nation. He recognized the difficult nature of the ministerial post, having served as one himself 16 years earlier. He encouraged Nigerians to pray for the nominees and seek divine direction as they make difficult selections while also supporting the President.
The list of ministerial nominees has received mixed reactions from Nigerians, with some praising the President’s choices and others accusing the list of being biased towards certain regions.
Although many expected Fani-Kayode to be among the nominees due to his role in the APC and previous ministerial experience, his absence from the list has raised questions about the reasons behind his exclusion. Nonetheless, he has shown support for the selected nominees and expressed confidence that they will contribute to taking the country to a higher level.
