According to the UK Sun, the Glazer family has finally accepted Sheikh Jassim’s offer of £6 billion to buy Manchester United.
The negotiations have been ongoing for over nine months.
Initially, the Glazers stated in November 2022 that they were “exploring strategic alternatives.”
The bidding process has narrowed down to Sheikh Jassim and Sir Jim Ratcliffe, with the Glazers considering both offers. Ratcliffe’s bid was favored by Joel and Avram, as it would have allowed them to retain their shares.
However, Sheikh Jassim continued to increase his offer, leading the Glazer siblings to finally agree on a complete sale of the club.
As a result, the Glazer family’s controversial 18-year reign at Old Trafford is expected to come to an end.
