Toolz, a media personality, recently went viral for jokingly revealing how she tricked her mother by falsely suggesting there was a $500 charge to join Instagram.
The well-known broadcaster added that her mother contacted her for help in setting up an Instagram account, to which she replied that she needed to submit her birth certificate and passport, as well as a $500 payment.
Her mother quickly changed her mind in reaction to these demands. Toolz then made up a tale, telling her mother that the additional fees and requirements were the result of Elon Musk owning Instagram and instituting regulatory modifications.
