West Ham and Manchester United have reached an initial agreement for the defender Harry Maguire to join them in a move estimated to be worth £30 million.
According to BBC Sport, Man United has accepted the Hammers’ amended offer after rejecting their initial 20 million pound offer for Harry Maguire.
Due to his limited number of starts in the Premier League during the 2022–23 season, Maguire was extensively linked with a move away from Old Trafford this summer until the latest agreement was finalized.
The Man United captain’s armband was recently removed from Maguire when Bruno Fernandes was named the team’s leader for the 2023–24 season.
Though Manchester United coach, Erik ten Hag has said that he wants to keep Maguire for at least one more season at the club, he was again likely to struggle for action at Old Trafford in the new campaign, with Raphael Varane, Lisandro Martinez, and Victor Lindelof all ahead of him in the pecking order for the spots at the back.
At 30 years old, he’s still got plenty to offer in the Premier League and West Ham coach David Moyes is thought to be a big fan of the former Leicester City and Hull City defender.
