Nigerian Afrobeats sensation, David Adeleke (popularly known as Davido), has made an announcement regarding the rescheduling of his European leg of the global “Timeless” tour.
The decision was made due to production issues. Davido, also known as Baddest, took to his social media page on Monday to express his gratitude to the fans who attended his sold-out shows in North America and Dubai.
However, he informed his fans that the remainder of his European shows will be postponed until the first quarter of 2024.
Despite this, the Manchester concert, which is scheduled to take place at Vic Warehouse on Wednesday, will still proceed as planned.
Davido apologized to his fans for the inconvenience caused by the rescheduling and assured them that the break will be used to create a flawless and unforgettable experience for the remaining part of the tour.
“One of my greatest joys this year has been reconnecting with all of you during my Timeless Tour. I’ve been humbled to see so many of you show up at sold out shows across North America and Dubai. The energy has been incredible, bless you all.
“I am passionate about giving you a truly timeless experience, every show, every time – One that you all deserve. So, with this in mind I’ve made the decision that after the show in Manchester, I will be moving my remaining European dates until Q1 2024. The additional time allows us to sort out some of the production issues we have been experiencing and gives us time to improve and create a bigger and more immersive show,” Davido said.
Davido released his fourth studio album, “Timeless,” in March. The album, which came after the heartbreaking loss of his son, Ifeanyi, saw immense success as it garnered over a million streams within six hours of its release.
He commenced his “Timeless” global tour in July and has since performed in several North American cities including Washington, Boston, Houston, Chicago and Toronto.
