Popular Nigerian crossdresser James Brown recently addressed the allegations circulating online that he had dropped out of school in the UK.
During an appearance on a Cool FM show hosted by Tacha, the 24-year-old, known as the “Duchess of London,” clarified that he had not dropped out but had rather paused his studies.
In February 2022, James Brown had made headlines when he revealed that he was self-sponsoring his education at a university in the UK.
Numerous videos had also surfaced online, showing James Brown attending lectures in a UK classroom.
However, upon returning to Nigeria, James Brown began focusing on his influencing and acting career, leading many to assume that he had abandoned his studies.
In response, James Brown explained during the interview that making money through the means he does is not easy for someone of Igbo descent.
He stated that in London, school can be paused as a way to keep on searching for greener pastures so as to make ends meet.
James Brown says; I’m an Igbo girl, I put school on pause in the UK so I can come and invest my money in Nigeria.”
