Tribunal announces date for judgement on petition against Tinubu

Tribunal sacks Lagos Labour Party’s House Of Reps Member, declares APC candidate as winner

The Presidential Election Tribunal in Abuja has announced date to deliver judgment on petitions challenging the election of President Bola Tinubu.

Recall that it had denied fixing September 16 for the judgment.

However, tribunal on Monday announced that it would deliver judgment on the petitions by Wednesday, September 6.

Both the candidates of Peoples Democratic Party, Atiku Abubakar and Labour Party, Peter Obi are challenging the outcome of the election.

Tribunal merged the petitions submitted by the various political parties while giving the pre-hearing report on the petition and presenting the trial schedule.

It had also reserved judgment on the petitions filed by the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) and Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party in order to deliver the judgements on the same day as that of Peter Obi of the Labour Party.
