Rema and Davido took center stage at the 2023 Trace Awards in Kigali, Rwanda on October 21st, where they were recognized for their exceptional African-inspired music and talent.
The event was co-hosted by D’banj, a renowned singer, and Maria Borges, a globally celebrated Angolan supermodel.
Rema’s hit track ‘Calm Down’ earned him the prestigious ‘Song of the Year’ award, while the ‘Best Global African Artist’ title was shared between Rema and Nomcebo from Nigeria.
Davido, the music executive of DMW, triumphed in the ‘Best Male’ and ‘Best Collaboration’ categories, showcasing his incredible talent.
Burna Boy, another exceptional artist, claimed the grand title of ‘Album of the Year’ at the awards ceremony.
