“You have every right to be angry with me” – Ayo Makun tenders apology to Davido over insensitive joke

Ayo Makun, also known as AY, an award-winning comedian, has apologized to musician Davido for making an offensive joke about him.

AY landed himself in hot water a few hours ago after a viral video of him criticizing Davido went viral.

During a recent performance, he made Davido the target of a joke about his several baby moms.

He described the musician as possessing a “small penis,” which he uses to father children with various women.

AY went on to juxtapose his own circumstances, claiming to have a “big dick” but only having fathered two children with significant gaps between their deliveries. He was perplexed as to how Davido could attract so many baby moms despite having such a little penis.

Many netizens and Nigerians considered this joke insulting and improper, and it was widely mocked. They chastised AY for making such intimate and perhaps cruel remarks about Davido and his family. Some thought his comic approach crossed the line and was inappropriate.

Taking to Instagram, Ay stated that Davido had every right to be upset with him, especially given how the media misrepresented the situation.

He stated that everyone in the entertainment industry is continually learning, and he deserves every response or unfavorable thought that comes his way for the poorly executed joke.

He begged him not to think about it and said that he was still Davido’s biggest fan.

AY further compared his own situation, claiming to possess a “big dick” but having fathered only two children with considerable gaps between their births. He expressed his bewilderment at how Davido could attract so many baby mamas despite what he considered to be a small penis.

This particular joke did not land well with many netizens and Nigerians, who found it offensive and inappropriate. Now taking to his Instagram, Ay noted how Davido had all right to be angry with him, especially with the way blogs twisted it.

He noted how it is always a learning experience for everyone in the entertainment business and he deserves every backlash or negative thought coming his way for the joke that was badly delivered.

Begging him not to reason it, he declared that he remains Davido’s number one fan.

“I am so sorry for telling that joke the way it came out in Warri. I shouldn’t even call it a joke anymore. It wasn’t funny like it was during my tour of the US and Canada, and you have every right to be angry after seeing how the blogs used it.
