Basketmouth, the renowned Nigerian comedian, Brighy Okpocha, has issued a heartfelt apology to his fellow comedian, Ayo Makun, popularly known as AY.
Taking to his Instagram page, Basketmouth expressed remorse for any actions or words he may have said that impacted AY negatively and called for a harmonious and peaceful coexistence between them.
Furthermore, Basketmouth extended his apologies to anyone in the industry who may have been inadvertently or intentionally offended by his behavior.
He acknowledged those who accused him of actions that affected their careers and expressed his sincere regrets.
It is worth noting that Basketmouth’s motivation for his apology is the upcoming show he has scheduled for next month, as he hopes to ensure that his tickets sell.
For years, Ayo Makun and Basketmouth have been at odds due to an alleged debt.
AY claimed in an interview with Chude Jideonwo that their feud stemmed from a N30,000 debt, which Basketmouth allegedly refused to settle, causing AY to remove his name from certain events.
However, Basketmouth refuted these claims, asserting that they were not true.
