Famous Afrobeat singer, Davido Adeleke, has expressed respect for BBNaija All Stars winner, Ilebaye Odiniya’s rags-to-riches tale.
Ilebaye, a 22-year-old model from Kogi, won the N120 million top prize in Big Brother Naija All-Stars on Sunday night, beating out five other contestants.
She secured 30.8% of the total votes, outperforming her closest rival, Mercy Eke, who received 23.48%.
Baye’s victory surprised many, considering that she had been evicted after just three weeks during her season, “Level Up,” in 2022. In the All-Stars season, she was viewed as an underdog.
In celebration of the self-proclaimed “Gen Z Baddie,” Davido took to his social media platform and wrote, “Ilebaye… I love a success story!”
Ilebaye responded in the comments section, saying, “Thank you OBO.”
It’s worth mentioning that Davido initially backed Kiddwaya and Neo Energy as potential grand prize winners at the outset of the show, yet neither made it to the finals.
