Ilebaye finally addressed the internet accusations about her supposed rudeness in a recent interview. The disagreement erupted after Charles, the host of Glitch Africa Studio, alleged that Ilebaye was impolite during a scheduled interview.
Charles recalled that he was scheduled to interview Ilebaye on a specific day, but upon arrival, he watched her yelling at her chaperone and then abruptly leave the place in her car without giving him the opportunity to explain the problem. Ilebaye, on the other hand, has finally presented her side of the story.
Ilebaye claims that her version of the story depicts a different picture. She stated that when she arrived, she was left waiting for about an hour with no communication or explanation from the studio’s crew. To make matters worse, she was due to participate in an interview with Perry and Adekunle, but they went on without her, keeping her in the dark about the issue.
This is not the first time Ilebaye has been at the center of a controversy. Kemi Filani recently stated that Ilebaye had apparently darkened her Big Brother Nigeria co-stars. Ilebaye has given numerous interviews since winning the reality show’s ultimate prize of 120 million Naira.
When asked about her views toward people, particularly her Big Brother Nigeria counterparts who may not have been delighted with her victory, Ilebaye reacted with a message of optimism. She implied that happiness for others is important for personal achievement, meaning that those who were not happy for her may jeopardize their own chances of succeeding.
In one of her first interviews after winning Big Brother Nigeria, Ilebaye addressed the subject of whether her victory was impacted by “pity votes.” She asserted boldly that her win was not the consequence of pity, but rather of divine timing.
It’s worth noting that public reactions to Ilebaye’s victory were mixed. While some Nigerians feel she won due to sympathy votes, others claim that her victory was legitimate.
