Superstar musician Joeboy has touched the hearts of many by providing financial support to students at the University of Lagos (Unilag) who are facing difficulties due to the recent increase in school fees.
Several months ago, these students passionately protested against the exorbitant hike in their tuition fees.
Unfortunately, despite their pleas for a reduction, the school management has remained adamant and continues to insist on the new fees.
Nevertheless, Joeboy, who himself is an alumnus of the university, fondly reminisces about his time there when the fees were still a mere 20,000 Naira.
In light of this, he has pledged assistance to students who are struggling financially, extending a helping hand to those in need.
In his words;
“Unilag school fees during my time was 20k and a lot of people were still struggling to pay. I can’t imagine how hard it is for students now that it’s over 100k.
