A courageous young Nigerian named Wene embarked on an incredible 5-day marathon journey from Lagos to Port Harcourt with the goal of breaking the Guinness World Record. Unfortunately, he has encountered some difficulties along the way.
As stated in a report shared on his Facebook page, and supported by a caption from “Wene Port Harcourt,” Wene is currently in the hospital receiving the necessary medical attention.
He began his solo marathon from Lagos state to Port Harcourt in an effort to surpass the Guinness World Record.
Wene announced his attempt on breaking the record in a Facebook post on Sunday, October 15. Recognizing that it would be an extremely challenging task, he encouraged others to join him on this adventure.
He wrote: “Unimaginable pain. I give everything time, distance? Time. Scars? Time. Disbelief? Still, time. Until then, Wene is home!”

According to the flyer for the event, Wene commenced his journey on Tuesday, October 17 and anticipates completing it on October 21.
He started his run from Lekki Toll Gate at approximately 4:00 am on Tuesday.
A post shared on his Facebook page on October 21 confirmed the completion of the 5-day marathon walk as he finally arrived in Rivers State.
Meanwhile, the Guinness World Record has yet to release a statement or react to the completion of the 5-day marathon by the Nigerian man.
