Nigeria’s Finance Minister, Wale Edun,

Mr. Wale Edun, Nigeria’s Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, has been named Chairman of the World Bank’s African Governors’ Forum.

This information is contained in a statement made by the Federal Ministry of Finance, which can be found on the ministry’s official X (previously Twitter) account.


According to the government, this is the first time Nigeria has assumed the job of Chairman in 60 years.


It further stated that the selection represents a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for Nigeria and the realization of President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
