Prayers pour in for veteran actor, Mr Ibu

Fans and admirers of Nollywood actor John Okafor, also known as Mr Ibu, are sending him their well wishes as he celebrates his birthday in the hospital.

On Tuesday, the veteran turned 62 and spent his birthday in the hospital with his wife and children.

Jasmine Okafor, his daughter, had shared a devastating video of him on a hospital bed with a cake and juice pack in front of him as he sat up in pain to rejoice with them.

She conveyed her heartbreak at seeing him spend what was supposed to be a happy day in the hospital. She added that the veteran has been battling for the previous two weeks and is still alive.

Jasmine added that her greatest desire for him is to see him healthy and back on his feet.

“Happy birthday Daddy @realmribu! It breaks my heart that we are celebrating you today from the Hospital bed. My greatest wish today is that God crowns you with Divine healing, good health, and many more happy years. These last two weeks, you have fought a good fight and you are still standing tall.
