BREAKING: Tinubu bows to pressure , withdraws nomination of 24-year-old Kashim’s as FERMA chairman

President Tinubu

In a surprising turn of events on Thursday, President Bola Tinubu unexpectedly instructed for the nomination of Engr Imam Kashim Imam to be withdrawn.

Imam had previously been appointed as the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Federal Roads Maintenance Agency (FERMA).

A statement by Ajuri Ngelale, the President’s Media Aide, announced that Imam’s withdrawal would take immediate effect.

Ajuri clarified that this directive does not impact any other appointments to the FERMA board and executive management team.

Previously, there had been criticism towards the Federal Government for appointing the presumed 24-year-old Imam to the FERMA board.

The reasons for the withdrawal of the nomination were not specified by the presidency.
