Teni, the famous Nigerian singer and songwriter, recently expressed her frustration towards Nigerians who criticized her for accepting Davido as her elder brother despite being the same age.
This response from Teni came after an interviewer asked if she was offended by an old video of her and Davido, where he referred to her as his younger sister, which angered many netizens in the process.
Teni, known for her hit single “Malaika,” fired back at Nigerians who were upset over Davido calling her his younger sister, emphasizing that as an artist, she understands the value of cancelling a lucrative opportunity to shoot a music video for another artist.
She stated that some people would not be willing to do such a thing.
Teni also argued that there was nothing wrong with Davido calling her his younger sister since they are the same age, using an example of how her driver addresses her as “Madam” to illustrate her point.
Teni said; “Davido gave me a big hit, he was also humble & patient with me. People are mad for saying I’m calling him my elder brother even though we’re the same age.”
