BREAKING: Military Personnel On Revenge Mission Allegedly Attack Nigerian Police Headquarters

Gunmen dressed in military uniforms launched an assault on the Police Headquarters in Adamawa State during the early hours of Wednesday, causing panic among the residents of Yola.

Situated in the heart of Jimeta community in Yola North local government area, the Police headquarters experienced at least 30 minutes of incessant gunfire as reported by a witness.

Eyewitnesses claim that the attackers were military personnel seeking revenge for the alleged killing of one of their own by the police.

However, this claim has not been independently verified.

The Police Public Relations Officer, SP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje, acknowledged the attack on Wednesday but assured that the situation was under control.

Nguroje stated that the attack had been repelled, but the identities of the assailants remained unknown.

This incident follows a recent standoff between officials of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and Nigerian Air Force personnel.
