Charles Chibueze Chukwu, also known as Crayon, an artiste signed to Mavin Records, expressed his gratitude to God for not achieving fame in 2019.
He believes that his music career is more fulfilling now than it would have been back then and that he had to exercise patience.
Through his official X account, Crayon compared God’s test to the story of Job in the Bible. As a successful artist, Crayon exclaimed that he is determined to achieve greatness in everything he does.
“Omo thank God say I no blow 2019 when I came out!!! Na now sweet pass! Jesus!!!! I had to wait bro I had to wait !!
“God tested my patience like job in the Bible !!!! Now ehnnn I’m coming for everything like a comet!!! Mo ti blowww kpaaaaa!!! 🥰📈😤😤”
Additionally, Crayon revealed in an interview with Kim Oprah on Hip TV that he made the decision to prioritize his music career over pursuing a university degree.
He shared that he gave up on attempting to pass the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) after five tries.
During his fifth attempt, the singer said he had already encountered a friend in the music industry named Baby Fresh and he took that as an inspiration to make a “significant sacrifice” for the sake of his music career.
