Shyniece Thomas was (born on February 1, 1994). She grew up on Tompkins Avenue in the neighborhood known as Bed-Stuy. Her father was not present for most of her life.

After spending a few years with her mom, Shyniece’s mother sent her to her grandmother’s house in Birmingham, Alabama. That’s when Lola started showing her interest in music.
