Peter Obi will be declared president very soon - LP

Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, has accepted the Supreme Court’s judgment affirming the election of President Bola Tinubu.

Despite this, Obi emphasized that the judgment does not mark the end of the Obidient movement.

Obi, the former governor of Anambra state, acknowledged that the Labour Party is now in opposition since the legal battle has concluded. He reiterated his commitment towards building a new Nigeria.

Obi addressed the Supreme Court’s decision at a news conference held in Abuja on November 6.

Last September, the Supreme Court upheld the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal’s ruling that affirmed Tinubu as the duly elected president, dismissing the appeal filed by Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party, who came in second in the election, and Obi, who came in third.

Obi said: “In the coming months we will build the party, we will make it stronger. We will build those young people. We will come out stronger and more committed to a new Nigeria.

“The future is dynamic. Our focus now is to ensure that we do the right thing for the benefit of Nigeria.”

Applauding Nigerians youths, He said: “The energy of Nigerian youths has been amazing and I want to assure them that this is not the end of our journey but it is the beginning

“We shall endure, persist until he reaches our destination because one Nigeria is our destination.”
