Pastor Adeboye launches new football club, Dove Fc

Pastor E.A. Adeboye, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), recently introduced a football club called Dove FC as part of the church’s efforts to reach out to the youth and steer them away from criminal activities.

The unveiling ceremony took place at the Redeemed Camp, where Pastor Adeboye encouraged the players to focus on serving God rather than pursuing money.

He emphasized that if the players commit themselves to football in order to serve God, the possibilities for success would be limitless.

“Winning is not by might but by God’s divine, to be a winner, you must have God by your side,” Adeboye said.

He also noted that if they truly dedicated themselves to God’s service, their talents would be recognized and celebrated internationally.

Prince Dapo Ajibade, the chairman of Dove FC, expressed the church’s desire to explore new horizons by establishing the team.

“By the special grace of God and with the support of the GO, Dove FC will expand to become the biggest brand in the world,” he said.

He further stressed that the players were selected from the six regions of the country and are between the ages of 16-21 with the aim of preparing them for possible professional career.
