Netizens were stunned after a robot was observed directing the traffic at a junction in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja.
The robot which stood at roughly 200cm was flanked by two men, with smartphones in their hands, apparently there to capture the machine on tape.
However, many Nigerians had their scrutiny about the robot as they include their fears of a possible low battery and malfunction on the busy road.
“Make this one no cause accident ooo battery go soon run down”, a netizen said.
A netizen reported that the robot was attached to an Abuja club, but had to take up new roles after as the economic demands increased on its owner.
“The robot used to work at one of the clubs but as economy hard, he had to take up another job as a traffic warden”, another netizen, another netizen, Sezu explained.
