Large numbers of young people in Benin have taken to the streets to protest against the presence of popular crossdresser, Bobrisky, in their city.
This protest comes after Bobrisky allegedly insulted the Oba of Benin last year by jokingly asking him to marry him in a video.
Many Benin youths view this act as a disrespect to their cultural heritage and have labeled him as unwelcome.
Reports suggest that the crossdresser is planning to return to the state for an event, prompting the youth to gather and express their dissatisfaction through placards carrying messages such as “He is a negative influence; We do not want him in our state.”
