Bella Okagbue, a popular BBNaija star, has opened up about the personal struggles and discomfort she experiences due to the constant public attention that comes with fame.
In a departure from the typical portrayal of celebrities, the reality star revealed a different side of herself.
Okagbue expressed her dislike for crowds, cameras, and the need to put on a false persona for the public.
She admitted to finding it challenging to socialize and cope with the pressures of staying relevant in the public eye.
I hate crowds, I hate facing cameras and faking a smile, I dislike socializing. I don’t have social anxiety disorder cause I don’t care about being judged by others but I hate being watched,” she said in part.
Despite rising to fame through BBNaija, Okagbue confessed that the expectations to maintain a public persona clash with her personal preferences.
In her words;
“I hate crowds, I hate facing cameras and faking a smile, I dislike socialising. I don’t have social anxiety disorder cause I don’t care about being judged by others but I hate being watched. Everyone around me wants me to keep making appearances and try to stay relevant but I really do not care. I just want my work to speak for me, be happy and rich. What do I do?”
This recent statement follows her previous expression of frustration regarding the support, or lack thereof, she receives from the public.
Despite facing doubters who question her success, Okagbue remains determined to prove them wrong.
