Celine Dion loses control of her muscles amid battle with rare illness

We can’t find any medicine that works – Celine Dion’s sister gives health update

According to reports, renowned Canadian singer Celine Dion is currently suffering from Stiff Person Syndrome, SPS, resulting in a loss of control over her muscles.

The 55-year-old artist disclosed her diagnosis of this incurable condition in December 2022, which causes involuntary muscle contractions.

Additionally, in an interview with Le Journal de Montreal in August 2023, Celine‘s sister, Claudette Dion, revealed that the singer is still searching for an effective treatment for her SPS.

Providing an update on Celine’s health, her 75-year-old sister, Claudette, informed 7 Jours on Monday, as reported by the Daily Mail, that the singer’s muscle control has deteriorated further.

“She’s working hard, but she no longer has control over her muscles. What breaks my heart is that she’s always been disciplined.

“Some people have lost hope because it’s all illness that isn’t well known,” she said.
