Kodak Black, the well-known American rapper whose real name is Bill Kapri, has been taken into custody in South Florida due to charges of cocaine possession, evidence tampering, and violating his probation.
The 26-year-old was found asleep in a Bentley with illegal drugs on him at approximately 3 a.m. in Plantation, according to a statement from the police.
He was subsequently held at Broward County jail, but was able to post bail on Thursday night, as per NBC Miami.
It is worth noting that former U.S. President Donald Trump commuted Kodak Black’s 46-month prison sentence in January 2021, which stemmed from charges of providing falsified information on federal forms to purchase firearms.
Prior to this, Kodak Black had served seven months in a Florida prison for offenses such as marijuana possession, child neglect, grand theft of a firearm, and possessing a firearm as a convicted felon.
Throughout his career, he has also faced charges related to weapons possession, armed robbery, sexual assault, probation violations, and evading law enforcement officers.
