In a recent outburst that has shaken the Nigerian music industry, Independent Jorgi, aka Msjorji, a rising Afro-trap artist, criticized well-known female Nigerian artists, including Tiwa Savage, Tems, and Teni, for their indifference towards promoting fellow female artists.
Jorgi, gaining traction in the Afro-trap scene, accused these established stars of being self-involved and neglecting opportunities to collaborate with up-and-coming talents, particularly women.
Jorgi’s remarks claim that, unlike their male counterparts, these female artists are focused more on their success and less on nurturing new talent in the industry.
Jorgi, however, defined true success as helping others grow and foster their careers.
