Nigerian gospel artist, Chidinma Ekile, recently issued a cautionary message to Davido and other members of the Givers Association of Nigeria.
Taking to her Instagram story, Chidinma, who used to be a secular musician but is now a devout Christian, stressed the importance of exercising caution when it comes to one’s finances.
She believes that there should be a limit to how much individuals share, as some recipients can be manipulative and adept at exploiting guilt to acquire money.
Chidinma advised all givers to exercise restraint in their generosity, so as not to find themselves in need of assistance in the future.
In her words;
“You can actually fall by lifting others, put a limit to how you help people. Don’t do too much, and never allow them guilt trip or manipulate you into getting money off you.”
