Ayra Starr, the acclaimed Afrobeat artist, recently shared a story about resisting the temptation to buy an expensive bag she wanted, out of fear of her mother’s disapproval.
In a widely circulated interview, she affectionately referred to her mother as a typical Nigerian mom.
Despite having the means to purchase the bag, Ayra Starr explained that she held back because of her mother’s influence.
She also mentioned how her mother would often call her and the people around her whenever she performed late at night.
In the same interview, the talented singer revealed that she had prayed for a Grammy nomination, which she ultimately received.
She confidently stated that she would be releasing an album later this year.
