Renowned Nigerian singer and songwriter Stanley Omah Didia, professionally known as Omah Lay, recently opened up about one of the factors contributing to his long-term battle with depression.
Omah Lay gained significant recognition in 2020 with his popular track “Bad Influence,” but has been known for his somber online presence, rarely displaying moments of joy or happiness.
In July 2022, Omah Lay disclosed to the public that engaging in intimate relations with his therapist worsened his depression, shedding light on a personal aspect of his struggle.
He also shared that he experienced deep bouts of depression and even contemplated taking his own life while working on his latest album, “Boy Alone.”
During an interview in October 2023, Omah Lay generated even more intrigue by revealing his lack of belief in any religion and expressing his previous intention to convert to Islam.
Shedding more light on his depression, Omah Lay in a post shared via his verified page on X formerly called Twitter today, January 22nd 2023 said that he is deficient in money.
He begs his God to shower him with more money as he claims that he needs more money.
He wrote; “God! I need more money please 🙏🏾.”
