Why you shouldn’t date broke people – Ike Onyema

In a recent Instagram story, former Big Brother Naija housemate, Ike Onyema, shared his thoughts on why dating someone who is financially struggling is not advisable.

Alongside a display of dollars, he outlined several reasons to support his stance.

One of his main points was that dating a partner who lacks financial stability can be unsupportive.

According to Ike, these individuals may not provide the emotional and financial backing that a relationship requires.

Additionally, he noted that dating someone who is broke can be tiring and ungrateful, regardless of the efforts made to support them.

This, Ike Onyema suggested, may stem from a sense of entitlement.

The reality star also criticized the attention-seeking behavior often exhibited by those who are financially struggling.

Ike mentioned that these individuals tend to demand constant attention and may become dependent on it.

Lastly, Ike Onyema questioned the wisdom of settling for someone who is broke when there are plenty of intelligent and hardworking individuals available as potential partners.

In his words: “Some reasons you should avoid dating broke people, starting from the fact that they are not supportive; they are also draining and lack gratitude irrespective of what you do for them. They almost always have a Sense of Entitlement, They expect 24 hours attention. There are tons of smart, hardworking ppl out there ready to mingle. So why settle for the broke ppl??”
