Xiao Mo, a woman renowned for her extraordinary height, has tragically passed away at the young age of 23.
Hailing from Shaoyang, China, Xiao Mo stood an impressive 7.5ft tall and had garnered a substantial following of over 152,000 on the video social media platform Douyin.
Sadly, Xiao Mo lost her battle with complications stemming from a recent cold and passed away on January 15.
She was known for her captivating vlogs on Douyin, which provided glimpses into her daily life, earning her the moniker “Hunan’s No. 1 Giantess” in local media. Douyin is China’s equivalent of the popular video-sharing platform TikTok.
It is worth noting that Xiao Mo’s height surpassed that of renowned NBA star Yao Ming by a mere four centimeters.
Her remarkable stature was accompanied by a challenging upbringing, as she had been abandoned by her mother and raised by her grandparents.
Chinese media reports reveal that Xiao Mo faced numerous underlying health conditions, including heart and vision problems, which were attributed to her towering height.
Following her cremation, it is believed that her estranged father, with whom she had a strained relationship, has yet to collect her ashes from the crematorium.
The untimely passing of Xiao Mo has left her loyal followers devastated, as they mourn the loss of an extraordinary individual.
Although Mo was thought by some to be the world’s tallest woman, the tallest is in fact Rumeysa Gelgi of Turkey.

The 25-year-old was born with the rare Weaver syndrome, a genetic condition that causes bone overgrowth, which is the reason for her height and a number of medical issues she suffers, including scoliosis.
